Mady Prowler

Assistant Director

Mady Prowler is the Assistant Director of Coming of Age. She oversees all local initiatives, including the Make A Big Difference Teams, the Encore Volunteer Managers Program, and the TemPALS alumni-international student mentoring program. Additionally, Mady creates and publishes Inspiring Opportunities, the bi-weekly e-newsletter that provides both paid and unpaid opportunities, community events, and timely news for people age 50+.


Mady’s professional life has provided her a rich opportunity to work with all generations, from pre-school children to mature adults. Formerly, she served as the Assistant Director of Communications and Publications Director at the National Adoption Center; Public Engagement Manager for the Early to Learn Program at United Way of Southeastern PA; and as a marketing/communications consultant for several nonprofits and government agencies. She is on the Executive Board of the National Adoption Center, a charter member of the Parent-Alumni Council at The Philadelphia School, and member of Center City Residents’ Association.

Mady graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree in Social Work.
