Coming of Age is a Philadelphia-based, national initiative designed to help individuals 50+ connect and contribute to their communities and to build the capacity of organizations to utilize the skills, passions, and interests of people 50+ to further their mission and revitalize communities.

Coming of Age's
mission is to strengthen communities by promoting lifelong civic engagement and to encourage people 50+ to explore their future and connect and contribute to realize their own potential and live satisfying, rich lives.

Founded in 2002, Coming of Age is a partnership of The Intergenerational Center at Temple University, WHYY (Philadelphia's premier PBS/NPR radio and TV station), United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, and AARP Pennsylvania.
