"Latinos Go Green/Latinos Por La Tierra"

Democracia U.S.A., a national, nonpartisan Hispanic voter empowerment and community organizing organization, is hosting a kiosk/booth at Philadelphia's Puerto Rican Parade to increase the political participation of local Latinos. Through its "Latinos Go Green" project, there will be educational information about green jobs, a green economy, and ways to encourage political change. Check out this event to learn about these issues, the Green Jobs Now movement, and to receive free green gifts!

The vibrant and outspoken Sanchez sisters will tell their story of being born to Mexican immigrants who had no formal education and achieving a first: becoming the first sisters to serve together in Congress!
