Casting Call! Extras Needed for Local Film

*Crossroads* is a short fiction film about a disabled girl who brings her high school graduation to a halt - and her parents to the brink of transformation - with a small act of public rebellion. The story is a coming-of-age story about a teenage girl negotiating her public identity - made public at an untimely moment (adolescence) - and a kind of visibility that is both elusive and oppressive.

The film builds on a series of Altman-esque character vignettes, with over 50 featured roles. Written and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Jennifer Schneider, the project features cinematography by Tom Quinn, Slamdance Grand Jury-winning director of "New Year Parade," as well as Alison Crouse, whose work has screened at such venues as WYBE and Painted Bride.

Crossroads is geared toward national festival exposure, at venues such as SXSW, San Francisco Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Film Festival, in addition to international fests such as Oberhausen (Germany), Clermont-Ferrand and Cannes (France).
