Senior Center Positions Available
Havertown Center Director: Full-time, flexible hours (weekend and evening hours) * Responsible for the overall administration of the Havertown Center. * Creates, evaluates and oversees implementation of all center programs and services that result in a supportive, stimulating environment to enhance the quality of life of older adults in Havertown and surrounding communities. * Works along with MCSS administration to seek adequate funding support for center. * Bachelors with 3 years experience in management and creative program development. * Experience working with older adults strongly preferred. * Salary range $37,000 - $45,000
Havertown Nutrition Coordinator: Part-time (20 hours week) * Responsible for overall coordination and implementation of congregate and home delivered meal program * Delivers meals when necessary * Enlists and supervises meal volunteers * Assist Center Director with other tasks when necessary * High School Education with 2 years experience supervising and working in kitchen. Experience working with older adults preferred. * $11.00 per hour
Activities Specialist: Full-time, Lawrence Park Adult Day seeks creative, energetic, dedicated individual to lead experienced ADS team to develop and facilitate age appropriate, engaging and fun activities/programs for memory or physically impaired older adults. Innovative ideas, excellent problem solving and teamwork skills, and knowledge of aging services are attributes of the ideal candidate. Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or similar field preferred; certificate in recreation therapy or activities specialty desirable.
