Free Legal Clinic on MLK Day
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service: FREE LEGAL CLINIC for Senior, Low Income, and Homeless Residents of Philadelphia
When? Monday, January 21, 2008 9:00am - 11:30am
Where? Germantown High School, Room 112 (Enter on Germantown Ave. between Haines and High Streets) Please use the special private entrance for this project!
This clinic will provide free legal advice, referrals and representation for the following legal matters:
• Advance Planning Documents
• Birth Certificates, ID
• Consumer Law Issues
• Family Law
• Homelessness
• Housing & Homeownership
• Public Benefits
• Public Utilities Problems
Residents are also invited to attend “Know Your Rights” workshops given by experienced attorneys in the following areas:
1. Custody & Support: An overview of your rights and important family law updates!
2. Homeownership: Learn about the importance of title, home repair programs and resources, and how to avoid contractor fraud!
