Fighting Poverty with Passion



The Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks is seeking AmeriCorps*VISTA members for the second year of our three-year Benefit Bank project.

OASHF Benefit Bank VISTA members will be trained as Benefit Bank trainers and will recruit and train new Benefit Bank counselors within each food bank territory.

VISTA members will also work on site development for current Benefit Bank sites, organize Benefit Bank clinics, identify local resources such as financial literacy workshops and Individual Development Accounts. VISTA members will also work on key capacity-building initiatives specific to their assignment site.

We currently need VISTA members in the following areas: Akron,
Cincinnati, Dayton, Fairfield, Springfield and Toledo.
