VISTA
Fighting Poverty with Passion

Coming of Age needs you! Coming of Age seeks a VISTA to help with promotion, marketing, research, evaluation, writing and all tasks that come their way. A living allowance and other benefits are included.

The Coming of Age VISTA member helps get stories about Coming of Age in the media, assists in presenting Boomervision!™ (our lecture/community dialogue series of nationally prominent authors who speak about transition from full-time work to the next phase of life), helps in producing radio and TV spots targeted to diverse communities and low-income populations, helps build traffic to our interactive website, researches new topics for the site, contacts community sites to set up our facilitated discussions about transition and supervises that program, helps create photographic and videotape productions about the initiative's work for national and other presentations, helps evaluate programs, writes reports and articles about the initiative's work particularly as it expands into culturally and racially diverse communities, and assists in our computer training at senior centers and other venues with significant low income 50+ populations, using the Coming of Age site as a teaching tool.
