Program Educator at Franklin Institute

The Franklin Institute has a paid part-time opening as a Program Educator for their Dead Sea Scrolls galleries. This position, which will take up to 30 hours/week, including week-end hours, needs a person who can assist with the running and upkeep of the "Conservation Cart", a volunteer-led program outside the exhibit, serve as an educational ambassador for this program, and assist with office duties. Are You Ready for the Olympics?

PHILADELPHIA READS invites you to be a Volunteer Moderator and Scorekeeper for the 7th annual Philadelphia Reading Olympics competitions being held at a number of college campuses in May. The Olympics is the culmination of a full-year team-building reading program and includes 1800 Philadelphia students from grades 4-8. As a volunteer, you will ask questions during the competition and keep score. Training will take place on-site, the morning of the event. Volunteer Services Specialist

The American Red Cross in Philadelphia has a position open for a Volunteer Services Specialist. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, placing, training and conducting follow-up with volunteers to support Chapter operations. This person will conduct needs assessments with Chapter leadership and staff to determine volunteer opportunities and develop plans for implementation; maintain the volunteer database system; develop volunteer job descriptions; and assign volunteers to projects.
